Austin Watson’s suspension was reduced from 27 to 18 games by an arbitrator.
Watson was arrested in June for misdemeanor domestic assault after being seen swatting his girlfriend. Watson pleaded no contest to the charge and was sentenced to a year of probation and an intervention course.
The Nashville Predators winger was originally suspended 27 games by the league, but arbitrator Shyam Das reduced that number to 18 games.
Watson will be eligible to return on Nov. 15.
