SI MLB writer and MLB Network reporter Tom Verducci was doing a pregame report on “Ballpark Cam” prior to the Rangers-Angels series opener on Friday night when he was hilariously interrupted by Derek Holland. The Rangers pitcher began jumping around in the background and foreground of Verducci’s report, leading to an interview on camera.
Holland, who is know for his odd ball ways, remained in goofball character and gave a few short answers in the interview.
Asked for some insight about Japanese pitcher Yu Darvish, Holland offered up the following: “He’s good. He’s really good.”
Thanks for that effort, Derek. Dude really is a goofball.
