It's hard to say where that idea came from. I'm pretty sure it was blood because, also, Curt Schilling was throwing around 89 on the fastball that day because he couldn't push off. Anyone remember that part? I don't like the guy and "egocentric, pompous, and has an opinion on everything" pretty much sums it up but that was a hell of a performance that night.
