AHL’s San Antonio Rampage Set Record for Most Dogs Watching a Live Sporting Event (Video)
Is there really much that can be said about this? The background story is self explanatory. The Florida Panthers’ AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, wanted to set a world record on Saturday night. Rather than playing 73 straight hours of tennis and trying to tackle an impossible feat, the Rampage decided to encourage fans to bring their dogs to the game. Hundreds of them obliged.
According to KSAT in San Antonio, the Rampage believe they were successful in setting a Guinness World Record for most dogs attending a live sporting event. As you can hear from the nonstop barking in the video above, 842 dogs were in attendance. The previous record was 600 dogs. If you’re looking for a feel good angle, 25 dogs were reportedly adopted during the event. And the Rampage won. Good night all around.
