OK, this is probably the most off-topic, completely un-sports related post I have ever made. But they almost got me, so I’d like to warn you. Check out the email I got from “Service Paypal,”
You have added jhonnyk33@hotmail.com as a new e-mail address for
your PayPal account.If you did not authorize this change or if you need assistance
with your account, please click here to contact PayPal customer service.Thank you for using PayPal
The PayPal TeamPlease do not reply to this e-mail. Mail sent to this address cannot
be answered. For assistance, log in to your PayPal account and choose
the “Help” link in the header of any page.
Obviously I did not authorize that address, so I was about to follow the link and enter my information to remove that email address….when boom! I realized that the site I was on was the fraudulent one. The email address they sent it from was service@paypals.com with an “s.” Those bastards were trying to get me to input my info so they could raid my account. They almost got me. Just a heads up to watch out for it so it doesn’t happen to you. Bastards. Why don’t they get a life. Or better yet, a job.
