NFL Picks Against the Spread Week 16 – Doc’s Selections

The Doc has been rolling lately, posting three straight strong weeks. We’re hoping to continue that through the rest of the season. There are plenty of question marks this week, especially considering so many games have playoff implications. How will the Giants-Jets game go? Will Seattle continue their hot ways and knock off the Niners? Can the Chargers keep it rolling in Detroit? Will the Raiders end their losing streak? The Doc’s picks are below, and there is some analysis after the chart.

NFL PICKS WEEK 16
(ATS = Against the Spread, SU = Straight Up)

Buffalo has lost 7 in a row since their 5-2 start. The wheels have completely fallen off, and we’ve learned they’re not very good. Conversely, Denver has played extremely well. They even competed well against New England but were doomed by fumbles. They’re a class above the Bills, and the Doc expects them to prove it.

The Doc has been awful picking Packers games this season, so keep that in mind. Absolutely awful. But the Doc believes this is a bounce-back week for them. They still need to clinch the top overall spot, and Aaron Rodgers still wants MVP. They have a lot to play for. Chicago, meanwhile, is starting a McCown brother at quarterback. It doesn’t matter which one — they’re starting a McCown. They’re not good. OK, it’s Josh; Luke is actually capable. That’s even better news. Josh McCown covering against Green Bay? [insert Ace Ventura laugh here]
