David Ortiz hit a walk-off home run for the Boston Red Sox on Thursday night for the first time in four years. His three-run bomb in the ninth inning off Michael Kirkman gave Boston a 6-3 win and a series victory over the Texas Rangers. The shirt Big Papi had on under his jersey stole the show.
As you can see from the photo above, Ortiz had the words “Famous as F**k” across the back of his undershirt. If this wasn’t the same guy who dropped an epic F-bomb during an inspirational speech after the Boston Marathon bombing, we might be surprised. Here’s a video of the blast and celebration:
Ortiz’s homer came on the first pitch he saw from Kirkman. He was probably very angry that Ron Washington decided to walk Dustin Pedroia to get to him. I doubt the Rangers manager will do that again, whether he’s looking for a lefty-lefty matchup or not.
