David Price on his postseason turnaround: I have changed
David Price seemed cursed in the postseason as recently as a week ago. Now he looks like he’s got it all figured out.
Price on Wednesday pitched six innings against the Los Angeles Dodgers in Game 2 of the World Series and picked up the win as the Boston Red Sox beat the Dodgers 4-2 to take a 2-0 World Series lead.
As of a week ago, Price did not have a win as a starter in the postseason. Now he has two after consecutive excellent starts for Boston. What’s changed? Price told FOX’s Ken Rosenthal that he has made adjustments.
“I have. I take a lot of pride in being able to evolve from pitch to pitch or day to day or game to game, whatever it is. Being able to make adjustments on the fly … and it’s paid off,” Price said.

Price’s changes have been huge for Boston. He closed out the Astros with a shutdown, six-inning shutout in Game 5 in Houston that sent Boston to the World Series. Then he put together a strong start in Game 2 of the World Series against the Dodgers.
Price is now the fourth pitcher in Red Sox history with consecutive postseason starts of at least six innings and no more than three hits. Who saw that coming?
