The potential arrival of Japanese star Shohei Ohtani to Major League Baseball has lots of people excited to see what he can bring up close — but Ohtani himself wants to learn from some of the leading MLB stars himself.
The 23-year-old two-way star said he admires the likes of countrymen Yu Darvish and Ichiro, but had an interesting answer when asked who else he loves to watch.
When I asked Shohei Ohtani to name his favorite players, he first mentioned Ichiro and Yu Darvish. Then he said he likes to watch @Bharper3407 and has studied video of Harper at the plate. @MLB @MLBNetwork

It certainly sounds like Ohtani is on his way to the United States — one team is reportedly already in the lead to sign him.
