When it rains, it pours for the Philadelphia 76ers.
The 76ers lost again on Sunday, getting blown out at home by the LA Clippers. 125-99 was the ugly final margin of defeat for the 76ers, who never led after scoring the opening basket and trailed by as many as 33 points.
It did not get much better for the 76ers after the game either. To add insult to their own injury, the team embarrassed themselves with the final score graphic that they posted to their official X page. Because of the font choice the 76ers used, the word “final” looked like … well, a very different word.

Take a look at the screenshot.
They definitely chose the wrong font on this one

The 76ers eventually deleted the post, but the damage was already done. Here were some of the jokes that flew at the team’s expense.
A tough lesson in typography and kerning was learned tonight by the 76ers pic.twitter.com/J3so53ZLRy

Today was my first day as the guy in charge of font choices for the Philadelphia 76ers social media team and I think it went pretty well. https://t.co/ydwCbiYyuP

9 AM Monday morning meeting request titled “Graphic Font” just popped on the social media team’s Google Calendar. Instant Sunday Scaries. https://t.co/JAdt50fczt

On top of the all-time doozy of a font choice, the picture the 76ers used also made star guard Tyrese Maxey look like Bozo the Clown (thanks to some unfortunately-placed cotton candy from the stands in the background).
Philadelphia is now down to a dismal 3-13 on the year, and they are dealing with both injury setbacks to top talent and finger-pointing in team meetings. On any count, they truly cannot do anything right at the moment.
