Steve Kerr: Andre Iguodala ‘incrementally better,’ but no decision on Game 6

Andre Iguodala

Injuries are quickly becoming the story of the NBA’s Western Conference Finals.

On Friday morning, Golden State Warriors coach Steve Kerr gave an update on Andre Iguodala, saying the guard-forward was doing “incrementally better” but it was too early to make any determination on whether he’ll play in Game 6.

“I have no idea,” Kerr said, via Melissa Rohlin of Bay Area News Group. “He’s gotten incrementally better each day, but I haven’t talked to him this morning.”

Kerr warned that the Warriors cannot bank on having Iguodala back in time for the potential elimination game.

“It would be great,” Kerr said. “He’s a great player. He’s one of our keys and we’ve missed him the last two games. But we can’t count on it. Injuries happen and we’ve just got to play with whoever is out there. So we’re hoping he’s back, we’ll see what happens.”

Iguodala hasn’t played since Game 3, when he banged knees with Rockets guard James Harden. As unfortunate as this news is for Golden State, Houston may be facing something even worse.
