A few members of the Cleveland Cavaliers showed exceptional sportsmanship as they checked on an injured opponent Tuesday.
Gordon Hayward suffered a gruesome broken ankle injury six minutes into his Boston Celtics debut. Even though he plays for the other team — Cleveland’s expected top rival this season — both LeBron James and Isaiah Thomas went into the locker room to specifically check on Hayward.

Isaiah Thomas, who recruited Hayward to Boston over summer, has also been with him in locker room.

James also went up to Hayward to wish him his best as he was loaded onto a stretcher.
Though the teams are expected to compete for the Eastern Conference title, nobody likes to see injuries happen to their fellow players.
