
Boston Celtics guard Jabari Bird was arrested over the weekend and arraigned Thursday on a series of disturbing charges, and the team has finally decided to address the situation.
On Thursday, the Celtics released a statement saying the team does not condone domestic violence in any way and is “deeply disturbed” by the allegations against Bird.

Bird, a second-round pick out of California last year, has been accused of assaulting his girlfriend over a period of several hours and strangling her to the point where she lost consciousness. The 24-year-old pleaded not guilty to charges of domestic assault, strangulation, and kidnapping on Thursday.
