Saturday’s game between the Golden State Warriors and San Antonio Spurs gave us an incredible viral photo of Victor Wembanyama and Draymond Green.
The photo, showing Green and Wembanyama jostling for position, showed the remarkable height difference between the Warriors’ most prominent big man and the 7-foot-3 Wembanyama. Green barely even made it to Wembanyama’s upper chest.

For context, Green is listed at 6-foot-6. Wembanyama has almost a full foot on him. Green is certainly used to this, as he has been defending bigger opponents for virtually his entire career. Even with that in mind, though, he has rarely come up against an opponent with that sort of size advantage, especially one with Wembanyama’s skill set.
Wembanyama did score 25 points with nine assists in this one, but he was held to a relatively inefficient 9-of-21 shooting performance. The Spurs won 104-94, which is what will matter to him most.
