Former Bull Nazr Mohammed also reportedly a GM candidate for team
Nazr Mohammed was something of a fan favorite during his time in Chicago, and now the Bulls could be bringing him back in a very big way.
Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times reported Friday that the retired former Bull is among the candidates in play to become general manager of the team. Cowley adds that Mohammed “really wants” the job.
The 42-year-old Mohammed, who played 18 seasons in the NBA, spent three of them in Chicago and is best remembered by Bulls fans for pushing down LeBron James during a playoff series. Since retiring, Mohammed has become a professional evaluation scout in the Oklahoma City Thunder front office.
As for the Bulls, they just hired Denver Nuggets GM Arturas Karnisovas to run their basketball operations, and he is said to be looking at a wealth of other candidates for the GM position as well.
