Igor Kokoskov reportedly interviewed for Grizzlies job
Igor Kokoskov is apparently in consideration for the Memphis Grizzlies job.
Kokoskov interviewed for the Grizzlies job recently, according to ESPN’s Tim Bontemps.
Kokoskov, 47, was fired by the Phoenix Suns after going 19-63 in his lone season as their head coach. Part of the reason he was let go was so the team could pursue Monty Williams, who ended up taking the job.
A longtime NBA assistant coach with stints in Cleveland, Orlando and Utah prior to taking the Phoenix job, Kokoskov has also been the head coach of the Georgian and Slovenian national teams.
Memphis is looking for a new coach after firing JB Bickerstaff following a 33-49 season.
