
Joel Embiid avoided a concussion despite a nasty collision with teammate Markelle Fultz during Wednesday night’s game against the New York Knicks.
Fultz had passed to Embiid, who was looking to give the ball back to Fultz early in the second quarter. The ball ended up on the ground, with the players colliding as they went for it:

Embiid went into the locker room after being hit in the face. The Philadelphia 76ers later said that Embiid had a facial contusion and that he did not have a concussion.
Embiid had five points and three rebounds in nine minutes for the Sixers before leaving the game.
