Kobe Bryant is still marshaling his young Lakers charges around.
According to a report, Bryant ripped into his teammates following the team’s 121-103 loss on Saturday at Portland. He even went as far as to call out DeAngelo Russell and Julius Randle by name.
According to the Los Angeles Daily News’s Mark Medina, Bryant was apparently agitated both over the team’s play and the fact that some of the players were smiling after the blowout loss.
As for Bryant, he neither confirmed nor denied that it happened.
“You know I don’t do the gossip [expletive],” Bryant told reporters in what Medina called a “friendly exchange.”
Even with his career winding down, Bryant is still leading the youngsters. The team may be prioritizing his retirement tour over winning, but Kobe certainly isn’t.
