There has been plenty of buzz surrounding Tuesday night’s NBA opener between the Cleveland Cavaliers and Boston Celtics, but the game could end up being anticlimactic if two star players are forced to sit out.
The Cavs will already be without Isaiah Thomas, who is dealing with a hip injury and could be out a while. And on Tuesday, Cleveland announced that LeBron James will be a game-time decision because of a left ankle injury.

You couldn’t ask for more storylines heading into the first game of the NBA season, though LeBron’s injury is one nobody is excited about. We’d rather focus on how the fans in Cleveland are going to treat Kyrie Irving, who recently took a subtle jab at the city where he used to play.
It seems more likely than not that LeBron will play, but there is obviously some uncertainty.
