Is Magic Johnson already preparing plans for a pursuit of Kawhi Leonard?
The Los Angeles Lakers held a pre-draft workout for prospect De’Anthony Melton and had some players working out on Friday. Reporters were there too, and the LA Times’ Tania Ganguli noted that Magic had run off the court right around the time the Kawhi trade reports emerged.

Maybe it was just a coincidence, but that was the theme of the morning. Another reporter shared a photo of Magic on the phone while sitting courtside and joked that he was calling San Antonio.

Magic has been in trouble for tampering with players before, but in this case it doesn’t look like he’ll have to worry about that since he can have open trade talks. Unfortunately for Magic, reports suggest the Spurs will have little interest in trading Kawhi to the Lakers.
