Turner had been entering the final year of his rookie deal, so this will keep him around for a while. On the surface, it looks like a good deal for all involved. Turner gets an $80 million payday, while the Pacers will retain their 22-year-old center who has become a big part of their franchise. Couple him with the still-improving Victor Oladipo and there may be some good days in the franchise’s future.
