Charles Barkley has decided to give up one of his vices in 2024, and he is not exactly receiving support from the “Inside the NBA” crew as he begins the challenging new journey.
For his New Year’s resolution, Barkley is giving up Diet Coke. Just before TNT signed off from its coverage of the Milwaukee Bucks’ win over the San Antonio Spurs, Barkley complained about drinking bottled water because it “don’t taste like anything.” Shaquille O’Neal then walked over next to Barkley to retrieve a secret package.
Shaq pulled out an ice bucket filled with Diet Cokes and began to drink one with his arm on Barkley. O’Neal then gave a Diet Coke to Kenny Smith and Ernie Johnson, who happily indulged.

We wouldn’t expect anything less.
It would have been naive of Barkley to think his longtime friends and co-hosts would support his New Year’s resolution. Good luck sticking to it, Chuck.
