NBA teams are preparing to open practice facilities in accordance with local guidelines, but it appears some players are being caught in the middle of the situation.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, some players told commissioner Adam Silver on Friday that they are feeling pressure from their organizations to return to team facilities. Workouts are voluntary at this point.

This is part of the issue that the league will be facing in the coming weeks. Even if facilities are open, players have to feel safe in order to travel and attend voluntary workouts. Teams cannot force any of that, and Silver knows it.
Some players are thrilled to be able to practice again. Others are operating with different considerations in mind. It’s one of the many things the NBA has to square away before it can even consider playing games.
