The Phoenix Suns thought enough of Marquese Chriss last year to acquire the No. 8 overall pick in the draft, but they apparently aren’t as high on him a year later.
In his incredible free agency preview, ESPN’s Zach Lowe noted that Chriss was available in trades on draft night.
Phoenix traded a player and two picks to get Chriss’ draft rights from Sacramento. As a rookie, he averaged 7.7 points and 5.5 rebounds per game.
The Suns have some interesting pieces with Deandre Ayton and Mikal Bridges joining Devin Booker and Josh Jackson. It remains to be seen how much Chriss will figure into their future.
