Fans needed just two games of the first-round series between the Oklahoma City Thunder and Memphis Grizzlies before feeling like they had seen enough.
The Thunder demolished the Grizzlies from start to finish in Game 2 in a 118-99 drubbing at Paycom Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. The home team immediately took charge, starting the contest on a 9-0 run and never looking back.
The final score does not do justice to how suffocating OKC’s defense looked all game long. Despite leading by double digits for most of the contest, Thunder players were always the first ones to the floor for loose balls. They outran the Grizzlies at every opportunity, outscoring the visitors 21-3 in fastbreak opportunities.
While Thunder fans are ecstatic about the results thus far, neutral spectators have not been pleased. Several fans expressed a similar sentiment about not wanting to watch a single second more of Thunder-Grizzlies.
I don’t want to see another Thunder vs Grizzlies game

Oklahoma City’s 19-point victory in Game 2 comes on the heels of their 131-80 drubbing of Memphis in Game 1. After the series opener, Grizzlies star Ja Morant guaranteed his team would “never play that bad again.” That’s not exactly the highest bar to clear after losing by 51 points.
Morant kept his promise, but his squad still got blown out.
