Tony Parker out for season with torn quadriceps
The San Antonio Spurs will be without arguably their most important veteran player for the remainder of the postseason, as the team announced on Thursday that Tony Parker is done for the season.
Parker had to be carried off the court during Wednesday’s Game 2 win over the Houston Rockets when he landed awkwardly on a shot inside the paint.

Spurs coach Gregg Popovich said after the game that the injury did not look good, and the team confirmed on Thursday that Parker has suffered a torn quadriceps tendon.
Parker had 18 points and four assists prior to going down with nine minutes remaining in the game. He averaged 16.3 points per game in San Antonio’s previous series against the Memphis Grizzlies.
