Adrien Broner was arrested on Friday for attending the weigh-in to the Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury fight and allegedly refusing to leave.
TMZ Sports shared news of Broner’s arrest and says that Broner was told in November he was not allowed to visit the MGM. The boxer apparently ignored that order and showed up to Friday’s weigh-in. He was told to leave but allegedly did not comply with the order.
Broner was reportedly detained by hotel security before Las Vegas police came and took over. Broner was then taken away in handcuffs and transported to the county jail to be processed. He’s set to be released with a misdemeanor trespassing citation.
Broner, 30, is 33-4-1 in his boxing career. He has fought just twice in the last two years and is 0-2-1 in his last three fights, including a loss to Manny Pacquiao in January of 2019.

Could a crossover fight between Manny Pacquiao and Conor McGregor be in the works? That sure seems possible.
Paradigm Sports Management announced on Tuesday that Pacquiao has signed with them to solidify the final years of his boxing career.
“I am proud to partner with Paradigm Sports Management and am excited for the opportunities that Audie Attar and PSM have to offer,” Pacquiao said in a statement. “One thing I want everyone to remember is to always think positively. Never think negatively; that is the beginning of your downfall. Everything is possible”.
Attar, who is the company’s president and CEO, shared the news on social media.
Incredibly proud to announce that @ParadigmSM is officially representing Manny Pacquiao. I’d like to thank everyone involved in this, including our partners Arnold, Ping, Atty Brando, Jayke and the rest of Team Pacquiao back in Manila. Cannot wait to work together. #GP pic.twitter.com/EhS6b5jmdQ

Paradigm represents several big-name MMA fighters such as McGregor, Israel Adesanya and Cris Cyborg. Attar is credited with helping set up McGregor’s big boxing fight against Floyd Mayweather two and a half years ago that generated 4.3 million pay-per-view buys.
There has been speculation that Pacquiao could fight McGregor, and that Floyd Mayweather could face the winner if he wanted. Dana White has talked about doing things with Mayweather in 2020, possibly through White’s boxing promotion.
Pacquiao, 41, is 62-7-2 in his professional boxing career. He has won his last three fights in a row, including a July victory over Keith Thurman.
Boxer Gervonta Davis turned himself in to police on Tuesday to face battery charges for his incident with Andretta Smothers on Saturday.

“As a result of an ongoing investigation after being notified through social media and the victim, on February 1, 2020, the above pictured subject was observed battering his former girlfriend whom have a child together,” the press release states. “The below listed individual surrendered himself to the Coral Gables police detectives assigned to the case.
“Today, the subject voluntarily turned himself in to the Coral Gables Police Department.”
Davis was taken to Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center in Miami-Dade County to be processed.
Davis, who is 23-0 with 22 knockouts in his boxing career, was recorded on video grabbing Andretta Smothers near her neck and pulling her out of her seat at a celebrity basketball event at the Watsco Center on the University of Miami campus Saturday.
Here is the video:
Davis and Smothers share a child.
Davis, 25, is the WBA lightweight champion. He has been arrested every year since 2017.
Floyd Mayweather Jr has been accused of assaulting a fan at a hotel over the weekend, but video evidence that has surfaced thus far appears to show that the altercation never went beyond verbal.
A 32-year-old man named Ricco Kimborough claims he recognized Mayweather at the Fontainebleau Hilton in Miami on Saturday morning and asked to take a photo with the famous boxer. According to a police report obtained by TMZ, Kimborough alleges that Mayweather turned him down and said, “I can’t even get a good morning first?” At that point, Kimborough claims Mayweather’s security team “pushed him away from Mayweather” and Floyd yelled, “I’ll beat your a–.”
Video footage obtained by TMZ appears to show Kimborough antagonizing Mayweather and not letting things go, though it’s unclear what happened before the camera was rolling. Mayweather wasn’t even near Kimborough during the video, but he did yell to Kimborough that Kimborough can “get your a– whooped for free, too” after Kimborough kept saying he’s a “free man” and can do what he wants. Kimborough then yelled to Floyd that he would get all of the undefeated champion’s money if Floyd touched him.
The Miami Beach Police Department is investigating the case as a simple assault.
Mayweather has been sued in the past for supposedly having his bodyguards beat someone up at a hotel, but it seems unlikely that he is going to face any serious legal consequences in the latest case.

An ugly video of champion boxer Gervonta Davis getting physical with the mother of his child surfaced and spread throughout the internet on Saturday.
The video shows Davis grabbing Andretta Smothers, with whom he shares a child, near her neck and pulling her out of her chair. He then drags her towards an area off the court.
The video was recorded by @mr_luares on Twitter at the Watsco Center on the University of Miami campus Saturday, which is where the EeeZeeStevie All-Star Celebrity Basketball Game was taking place. Floyd Mayweather is Davis’ promoter, and Mayweather’s “The Money Team” was among the presenters of the event.
Davis later addressed the incident on his Instagram story.

“I never once hit her, yea I was aggressive and told her come on… that’s the mother of my child I would never hurt her other than that happy New Years.. January was trash,” he wrote.
Davis, 25, is 23-0 with 22 knockouts in his boxing career. The Baltimore native is the WBA lightweight champion.
Davis was arrested for allegedly assaulting his friend in 2017 by punching him on the side of the head, but the friend later dropped the charges. Davis was arrested in 2018 for an alleged fight outside a club in Washington D.C. An arrest warrant was also served for him in 2019 for an alleged incident at a mall.
Danny Garcia beat Ivan Redkach as expected on Saturday night, but a surprise came in the form of a Mike Tyson moment.
During the eighth round of their fight at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York, Redkach bit Garcia on the trapezius.
— (@Bzr924) January 26, 2020
Redkach was pretty self-aware in the moment. Garcia said in his postfight interview on Showtime that Redkach said “Mike Tyson” after the bite.
“[Redkach] bit me. He said ‘Mike Tyson!’ when he bit me,” Garcia told Jim Gray. “I said, ‘ref, he bit me!'”
Garcia said it was his “first time ever getting bitten in a fight.”
Tyson infamously bit Evander Holyfield in both ears during their rematch in 1997.
Garcia is now 36-2 following the win. He says he is open to facing Errol Spence Jr., Manny Pacquiao, Keith Thurman, or Mikey Garcia next. Garcia’s first career loss came against Thurman.

Floyd Mayweather Jr. wasted no time inserting himself into the conversation after Conor McGregor’s win over Cowboy Cerrone at UFC 246 in Las Vegas on Saturday night.
Following McGregor’s 40-second TKO win, Mayweather went on Instagram and shared a photo of him and McGregor and said “Mayweather McGregor 2”.
Mayweather and McGregor fought in August 2017, with Mayweather prevailing via TKO in the 10th round. The fight marked McGregor’s first professional boxing match and generated 4.3 million pay-per-view buys, which was the second most ever in history. It was so lucrative the two could try to fight again for another massive pay day.
Mayweather has not fought since then, but the opportunity to make big bucks might appeal to him. He is already trying to sway UFC boss Dana White about a second fight.
Just spoke to Dana White, we finished our interview than he showed me an Instagram from Floyd Mayweather. Said Floyd has been blowing him up all night … no more details than that.
— Brett Okamoto (@bokamotoESPN) January 19, 2020
White has long been interested in getting into boxing promoting, so the two of them working together could make sense. We should also expect Manny Pacquiao to get involved in some form as well.
