One college baseball player decided to pull a Doug Dimmadome (owner of the Dimmsdale Dimmadome) during Saturday’s game.
Kentucky went into extra innings on Saturday against No. 2-ranked Texas, needing a whopping 15 innings in order to find a winner. During the bottom of the 14th inning with the score tied 4-4, one Kentucky player tried to bring in some positive juju by [checks notes] wearing every single cap in the dugout that he could get his hands on.
An image went viral of the player wearing no fewer than 19 caps on his head, stacked one on top of the other in alternating front-to-back order. Check out the absurd visual.

Our primary question is exactly how long the player was able to maintain that hat tower. With just one wrong step in either direction, the whole Jenga set-up would come tumbling down like Joe Frazier in the second round.
The unconventional “rally cap” move didn’t pay immediate dividends for Kentucky. But things did eventually come up for the Wildcats, who won the game in the bottom of the 15th inning on a sacrifice bunt and an ensuing throwing error by the Longhorns.
Kentucky now sits at a modest 19-13 on the season, but Saturday’s marathon victory over Texas had to be their best win yet. As a team, the Wildcats are usually involved in some strange moments on the field. Now on Saturday, they were involved a strange moment in the dugout (albeit one that ultimately worked out just fine for them).
