Given the track record of success Hoiberg established at Iowa State, this is a really nice get for the Cornhuskers. Reports had indicated that Hoiberg wanted to stay in the NBA after being fired by the Chicago Bulls, but there was, understandably, much more interest in him from the college ranks, where he took Iowa State to four straight NCAA Tournaments. Nebraska, who reached the Big Dance just once under Miles, would gladly take that sort of success.
