Rick Pitino cracked a funny joke on his Twitter account Wednesday about being unemployed.
The former Louisville coach, whose contract was terminated a year ago, sent the following tweet:
I just saw on tv that unemployment rate was at a 50 year low. Really?? Sure feels a lot higher at my house

The 66-year-old was at Louisville from 2001-2017. His Cardinals reached the Final Four three times, including one championship win. But Pitino was fired amid allegations of paying a recruit. Those allegations came after he was already in trouble over a sex scandal two years prior.
Pitino recently said that he was done coaching, so if his employment status is to change it likely won’t be due to a coaching job.
