Florida State gives old scoreboard to FAMU as gift

Florida State is making upgrades to Doak Campbell Stadium and surprisingly they are not trying to profit off every single piece of memorabilia they are getting rid of. Instead, they are actually doing a really nice thing and donating their old scoreboard to Florida A&M University.

The scoreboard is being given to FAMU for free, but it will cost around $125,000 to install and program according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

“The on-going renovations to Doak Campbell Stadium provided Florida State Athletics an opportunity to work with Florida A&M athletics on some of its athletics priorities,” FSU AD Stan Wilcox said.

FAMU has plans to increase its athletic budget and make some big improvements in the future. One nice addition starts with the scoreboard donation.
