Nevada screws up kick return, gets called for safety
Nevada committed a big blunder on Saturday during their game against Notre Dame.
The Fighting Irish were kicking off following a touchdown and missed extra point to make it 9-0 in the second quarter when the Wolf Pack’s Ahki Muhammad made his mistake. Muhammad received the kickoff in the end zone, took a step across the field, and then retreated back to the end zone where he took a knee.
Because he had stepped out of the end zone and went back in to take the knee, Muhammad was called for a safety. The play made it 11-0 Notre Dame. The Fighting Irish also got the ball back following the safety and scored again to make it 18-0.
