North Carolina wrongly called offsides on onside kick (Video)
North Carolina was the victim of a brutal call by the referees in the ACC Championship Game on Saturday.
Down 45-37 after scoring a touchdown with 1:13 left, the Tar Heels decided to attempt an onside kick. They recovered it, but they were called for being offsides, forcing them to kick again.

The graphic shows that they were not offsides:
After being penalized, North Carolina was penalized five yards and forced to kick again. The Tigers recovered this time and then ran out the clock to win 45-37.
Fedora on offsides: I had a chance to look at it, and they missed it.They were wrong. That's all I'm going to say about it. They were wrong.

As the No. 1-ranked team in the country, Clemson is all but assured a spot in the College Football Playoff, likely as the top seed. They can thank some help from the ACC referees, which also had another bigger screw-up earlier this season.
