RB who was kicked off Notre Dame football team walks on at Penn State
CJ Holmes was a relatively heavily recruited four-star running back who committed to Notre Dame back in 2016, but he did not last long at South Bend after he was arrested in connection with a shoplifting incident. Fortunately for him, Holmes is getting a second chance.
According to a report from Lions247, Holmes has enrolled at Penn State and will join the team as a walk-on. He was present at a charity event with the Nittany Lions over the weekend.
Holmes was ranked the No. 19 running back in the country for the Class of 2017, and he appeared in at games as a true freshman at Notre Dame last season. He was dismissed from the program after he and former teammate Kevin Stephenson were arrested for allegedly stealing a North Face coat at a Macys department store.
