Aaron Rodgers has yet to say whether he will play for the Green Bay Packers next season, but that announcement will likely be coming in the near future.
ESPN’s Dianna Russini reported on Thursday that Rodgers plans to inform the Packers of his decision “soon.” The exact timeline is unclear, but Rodgers has indicated he does not want to drag things out.
Aaron Rodgers will be informing the Packers of his decision soon, per league sources. I’m told there are multiple teams with offers on the table but of course, nothing can happen until the Green Bay Packers allow a trade.

Russini also noted that several teams have made trade offers for Rodgers. The Packers have reportedly refused to engage in any trade discussions until they know Rodgers’ intentions.
Rodgers has spoken glowingly about the Packers and their front office since the season ended. The relationship between the two sides is clearly in a far better place than it was a year ago. There has been talk of Rodgers and one of his favorite teammates joining another team as a package deal, but that idea seems farfetched.
Unless Rodgers retires, it would be a surprise if we don’t see him in a Packers uniform in 2022.
