Report: Aaron Rodgers undecided on what team he wants to play for

Aaron Rodgers has not yet made an announcement about his future. One report says that is because he is unsure about what team he wants to play for.

NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported on Friday that Rodgers is “torn” on where he wants to play.

“My understanding is that Aaron Rodgers is truly torn as far as where he wants to play in 2022,” Rapoport said during NFL Network’s coverage of the NFL Scouting Combine.

Rapoport did not share what teams Rodgers was considering. However, in a conversation with host Rich Eisen, Rapoport said that Rodgers is believed to be considering the Denver Broncos.

“The forth has always been the Denver Broncos. … It seems that would be the other spot that he would want to be.”

Reports have tied Rodgers to the Broncos for over a year. Denver hired Green Bay’s former offensive coordinator, Nathaniel Hackett, as their new head coach. They reportedly are all-in on trying to trade for the Packers quarterback.

Rodgers last year seemed to have issues with Green Bay and their front office. However, his issues with the team seem to have been worked out. Rodgers specifically thanked the Packers’ front office in his MVP speech.

Rodgers has won consecutive MVP awards with Green Bay. Does he think he could win more in Denver or with another team? Was last season “The Last Dance” for Rodgers in Green Bay? The 38-year-old has only played for one team his entire career, but that does not mean he couldn’t pull a Tom Brady and leave for the final years of his career.
