Bruce Allen denies reports that he is interested in returning to Raiders
Bruce Allen was a member of the Oakland Raiders’ front office when Jon Gruden had his first coaching stint with the team, and there has been chatter that the two could reunite now that Gruden is back on the sidelines. According to Allen, it is not going to happen.
Reports over the weekend indicated that Allen, who currently serves as president of the Washington Redskins, is interested in returning to Oakland. In an appearance on SiriusXM NFL Radio Tuesday, Allen said there is no truth to that.
Bruce Allen on #Raiders chatter: "I'm not going there, and I'm not going to play shortstop for the @Nationals either tonight. I have a job to do and we're really looking forward to this season." #Redskins https://t.co/nY3Ma0z4NO

Allen has been with the Redskins since 2009, and he did not exactly endear himself to fans with the way he handled the Kirk Cousins situation. Washington is hoping Alex Smith will help fill the void left by the departure of Cousins, so expectations are still fairly high in the nation’s capital.
If the Redskins have a losing season in 2018 and the Raiders are interested in bringing Allen back, it would not be a surprise if he entertains the offer.
