Kam Chancellor feels that he is underpaid and reportedly is threatening to hold out in order to get more money. His defensive teammate Bruce Irvin is supporting his goal.
Early Wednesday NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport broke news of Chancellor’s threat to hold out of Seattle Seahawks training camp:
Sources: #Seahawks S Kam Chancellor wants more money, has told Seattle that he’s strongly considering a camp holdout to make it happen.

About an hour later, Irvin, who likewise is unhappy with his contract situation on the Seahawks, sent this tweet:
Get yo money bam bam!

Chancellor signed a four-year, $28 million deal in 2013 and is set to earn nearly $17 million over the remaining three years on his deal, though nothing beyond his $4.55 million salary for the upcoming season is guaranteed. That makes Chancellor a relative bargain for Seattle given that he’s one of the top strong safeties in the league.
Between Chancellor, Michael Bennett, Bruce Irvin, and most notably Russell Wilson, we’re seeing multiple Seahawks players unhappy with their contracts. That’s what often happens with winning teams and a big reason why it’s hard to have dynasties in a league with a strict salary cap like the NFL.
