Dak Prescott had wisdom teeth taken out during Cowboys’ bye week

Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott was in some pain during the Dallas Cowboys’ bye week, but it wasn’t due to football.

The Cowboys quarterback had four wisdom teeth removed during the team’s bye week, which came in Week 8, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported during the network’s “Monday Night Football” telecast.

The 26-year-old quarterback began his team’s game against the New York Giants with an interception on his first pass. He regrouped on the next possession and led a field goal drive.

Prescott has passed for 12 touchdowns and rushed for three more this season. After beginning the season hot, Prescott cooled off during Dallas’ three-game losing streak, which coincided with several of the team’s key offensive players being hurt. Once many of those players got healthy, the team beat the Eagles in Week 7, and Prescott had his best passer rating since Week 2.
