Eagles interested in DeMarco Murray
The Dallas Cowboys appear reluctant to pay DeMarco Murray big money, and their loss may be the Philadelphia Eagles’ gain.
Murray has been discouraged by his contract talks with the Cowboys to the point that he began altering his Twitter profile to scrub ties to the team from his page late Monday evening. He officially became a free agent Tuesday and now is being courted by various teams.
NFL scout John Middlekauf reports that the Raiders are in on Murray, while ESPN’s Adam Caplan says three other teams are also interested. Caplan also says there is mutual interest between Murray and the Eagles.
Even Eagles DB Malcolm Jenkins was even trying to recruit Murray to Philly:
I don't like the cowboys but I do like @DeMarcoMurray …. Come on over to the dark side bro! We'll treat you good!

Philly is in the market for a running back after Frank Gore backed out on a deal with them to sign with the Colts. They have Chris Polk and Darren Sproles but would like another lead guy after trading LeSean McCoy to Buffalo. Philly has the cap space after trading McCoy and letting Jeremy Maclin walk, so this is a realistic possibility. And if the Eagles do land Murray, then many people would have to take back all their questions about Chip Kelly’s madness.
