Talks between Ezekiel Elliott, Cowboys reportedly ‘intensifying’
Maybe the Dallas Cowboys are not going into the 2019 NFL season without Ezekiel Elliott in the fold.
Talks between the Cowboys and Elliott are intensifying, ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported on Saturday. He says both sides are aiming to have a deal completed this weekend.

The Cowboys open up the season at home against the New York Giants next Sunday and were facing the possibility of playing without Elliott, who missed all of training camp. The running back was said to be training in Mexico while away from the team.
Elliott is under contract with the Cowboys for this season and next, but his salary was below his market value, which is something his side wanted to address.
If no deal is reached between the sides by Week 1, expect rookie Tony Pollard to get the bulk of the load. Pollard is still likely to have a role with the Cowboys even if Elliott reports.
