Ezekiel Elliott forms partnership with Salvation Army after TD celebration

Ezekiel Elliott Salvation Army kettle

Ezekiel Elliott has incorporated the Salvation Army kettle into his touchdown dances during the holiday season in Dallas over the past several years, so it makes sense that the Cowboys running back has decided to partner with the organization.

Rather than jumping into the Salvation Army kettle on Thanksgiving when he scored a touchdown, Elliott did something a little more original when he threw $21 into it.

The 21, of course, represents Zeke’s jersey number. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, the Cowboys have announced that Elliott reached an agreement with the Salvation Army that includes him matching every $21 donation made to the Red Kettle Campaign. The Cowboys are planning to do the same.

While the NFL doesn’t allow players to use outside props for TD celebrations, it’s hard to argue against the positive impact the Cowboys have made with the Salvation Army kettle. That’s why Jerry Jones said what he did about the celebrations earlier in the week, and it seems unlikely any fines will be coming from the league.
