Jay Gruden lost his first career game as an NFL head coach on Sunday. The Washington Redskins were dominated by the Houston Texans’ front seven and were unable to get anything going on offense. Don’t tell that to Gruden, though, because he thinks his team lost to the Cleveland Browns.
“You know, it’s frustrating,” Gruden told reporters after the game. “Hats off to Cleveland for forcing those turnovers…”
This is the same Jay Gruden who talked about leading “Raider Nation” shortly after he was hired in Washington, so he’s no stranger to slips of the tongue. To be honest, I kind of expected Robert Griffin III to be the one confused after the game. Did you see the beating he took from JJ Watt? Woof…
