J.J. Watt made his debut in the broadcast booth for CBS on Sunday, and the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year was rocking a new hairstyle for the occasion.
Watt was the lead analyst alongside play-by-play announcer Ian Eagle for Sunday’s game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. He was sporting a different look than fans are accustomed to, and you can probably guess how that went over.
Watt now has long, flowing locks with a part in the middle. Even CBS called attention to the style.

Watt quickly got the meme treatment, with some fans pointing out that he looks like he belongs in a 1990s boy band or sitcom.

The 36-year-old Watt has been with CBS since his retirement, having worked as a studio analyst for “The NFL Today” over the last two years. He had jokingly been teasing an NFL comeback recently, but he is clearly committed to his media career.
Whether Watt is committed to his new hairstyle remains to be seen.
