Joe Mixon settles lawsuit with victim over punch
Joe Mixon has resolved the biggest legal issue he had entering the draft.
The former Oklahoma running back reached an out of court settlement with Amelia Molitor, the woman he punched during the summer of 2014. The incident resulted in Molitor suffering broken bones in her face and led to Mixon being suspended for the 2014 season. Video (seen here) was recently released.

According to their statement about the settlement, both parties were able to talk and resolve things amicably, leading to the civil suit being dismissed.
Mixon received a one-year deferred sentence, counseling, and had to complete 100 hours of community service as part of his punishment for the crime.
The widely publicized incident, as well as his suspension last season for an incident with a parking attendant, has created many red flags surrounding the running back. Many teams have taken Mixon off their draft board, but some are still interested in him because of his talent.
