Kyle Shanahan makes admission that will sting Cowboys fans
Dallas Cowboys fans still have the disappointment of Sunday’s blowout loss fresh in their minds, and Kyle Shanahan is not making it any easier for them.
The Green Bay Packers dominated the Cowboys 48-32 in the Wild Card Round of the playoffs at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas. Most viewers were stunned to see Green Bay leading 27-0 late in the second quarter.
While there was still plenty of time left in the game at that point, even Shanahan knew the Cowboys were toast. The San Francisco 49ers coach told reporters on Tuesday that he got an early jump on preparing to face the Packers.

Shananan admitted that he started to rethink his approach after the Cowboys scored a touchdown to make it 27-7 at the end of the first half. Green Bay continued to pull away in the third quarter, however, at which point Shanahan felt confidently “set on one team.”
We highly doubt the extra two hours of preparation gave the 49ers much of an advantage, but Shanahan’s comments helped sum up just how hapless the Cowboys looked in the loss.
