Lamar Jackson says he is ‘very prepared’ to start for Ravens
The Baltimore Ravens may need to turn to Lamar Jackson as quarterback this Sunday, and the rookie says he’s ready if that’s what it comes to.
Jackson called himself “very prepared” to start against the Cincinnati Bengals, though he doesn’t know who will end up starting.
“I feel like I’d be very prepared,” Jackson said, via Jamison Hensley of ESPN. “I’m trying to sponge everything in. Whatever happens, will happen.”
Jackson would be making his first NFL start if he does get the nod on Sunday.
Joe Flacco hasn’t practiced all week with a hip injury, and his status for Sunday is very much in doubt. There is, of course, a chance that Jackson may not even be the starter even if Flacco can’t go, even though the rookie still seems to be the most likely option.
