Lawrence Taylor wife Lynette arrested for domestic violence against LT
Lawrence Taylor’s wife has been arrested for domestic assault after the former NFL linebacker claimed she attacked him during an argument.
Lynette Taylor, 42, was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of domestic violence and one count of resisting arrest. In a court video that was shared by TMZ, a judge informed Lynette that she had been accused of hitting L.T. in the back of the head and causing a minor laceration.
“That’s a lie,” she said. “My husband is a 300 pound linebacker.”
The judge seemed surprised when Lynette said her husband is a legendary NFL player.
“Not the Lawrence Taylor,” the judge asked. “Really?”
Lynette has been ordered to remain 500 feet from Taylor and only make contact with him through a third party. She has a history of domestic violence and has been arrested three times in the past, but most of the charges were dropped.
As many of you know, the always-outspoken Taylor (see his comments about Tim Tebow) has had his own problems with the law. A jury ruled in his favor in 2010 after the 57-year-old was accused of having sex with a minor. Taylor was also arrested twice for attempting to buy crack cocaine and had well-documented drug problems during his NFL career.
