Le’Veon Bell will not play for Jets in preseason
The world will have to wait a little bit longer to see Le’Veon Bell take the field for the New York Jets.
Jets coach Adam Gase said Sunday that the team will be holding their new running back out for the rest of the preseason but expressed confidence that Bell will be ready for Week 1, per Andy Vasquez of NorthJersey.com.
Of course, Bell did not play at all last season as a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers and is currently having to learn an entirely new offense. Now he won’t even have a single game in the preseason to work his way back into rhythm.
The ex-All-Pro recently told fantasy players that he deserves to go No. 1 overall, but he may have a hard time living up to that billing, at least at first.
