Marquise Brown reportedly gets ‘very positive review’ on foot
Former Oklahoma wide receiver Marquise Brown was unable to participate in the NFL Scouting Combine earlier this offseason as he recovered from foot surgery, but the news surrounding him has been all positive leading up to the draft.
Brown, who was cleared to resume running about two weeks ago, took place in the Combine re-checks in Indianapolis on Wednesday. According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Media, he received a “very positive review” on his foot.
Combine re-checks are today & several big-name players are in Indy. #Oklahoma WR Marquise “Hollywood” Brown received a very positive review on his foot, I’m told. He’s been out of a boot for weeks. #Stanford RB Bryce Love and #MissSt DL Jeffery Simmons — who had ACLs — were too.

Brown is projected to go somewhere between the late-first and early-second round, so the fact that his recovery has gone so well is big news. The receiver left the Big 12 Championship Game in tears after suffering the injury, though he still managed to play in the College Football Playoff. Assuming he doesn’t suffer a major setback, the foot issue should not impact his draft stock.
